I've been sitting here mentally debating for a few days over a very threatening and some what demeaning message I got about my blog post on how to get the "Matte" look in photos.

I was not aware of the Monopoly on the Matte and Haze look in photoshop. Apparently someone owns the copyrights to curves/levels and its not Adobe.

I was also told that you are NOT ALLOWED to release an action set Similar to anyone else's. I will not name names but I do believe there are about...10 similar Matte+Haze sets out RIGHT NOW. Its called...competition.

I will not allow anyone to intimidate me out of releasing free action sets to people that I have created nor will I allow them to try to scare me out of telling people how to do it themselves.

I have always felt very strongly about the freedom we carry to express ourselves. We cannot allow people to restrict, intimidate or otherwise hinder our artistic expression.

The way I feel about "Matte-Gate" is that its not rocket science. Its not a deep dark matted secret. I've already posted all the tutorials I've poured over myself on how to get the look, what those curves mean and how to get your images to look the way YOU want them to.

Nobody is releasing KFC's magic recipe here.

Next fad...Light Leaks....guess what? There are a ton of tutorials and free actions about that too! I could post at least 5 pages of people with Light Leak Actions both free and for purchase. Let me guess, they all are members of the Order of the Action Designer. Since I am not a member I'm apparently not allowed to post free actions, make actions or purchase an action set.....and then release my action set the next day.

I wasn't aware that the FULL month I worked on those actions was spent in a chamber that gave me access to the brain waves of the other action designer. I've already posted proof that in fact my egg came BEFORE that chicken.

The storm came over my curves. Yes, a layer in photoshop caused controversy. Well guess what Curve's Nazi? I had the baseline of that Curve in LR already way back in December!

Do not assume anything about me or my work. I will not tolerate it. I will not have Big Brother stalking my page, stalking my blog and trying to intimidate me out of creating art or creating actions and presets.
